Programme Structure

The University of Roehampton, London MSc Global Financial Management comprises of 7 modules plus a choice of an Academic Dissertation or Consultancy Project. This Part-Time programme is designed to provide a competitive edge with strong emphasis on global financial issues. Structured around the work commitments and priorities of working professionals. Syllabus

Leadership & Change Management

Change can be driven by a number of different forces, including customers, markets and technology. Yet research shows that most change initiatives fail to accomplish their intended outcomes and may even limit the potential of an organization and its people.

Strategic Marketing

Provides you with an in-depth, critical understanding of how international companies design and implement marketing strategies to create customer value and competitive advantage.

Strategic Investment Appraisal

Focuses on how financial and other resources are effectively allocated to business units, projects and key activities in international and domestic organisations.

Global Strategic Management

Provides you with a critical and clear understanding of Corporate Strategy and Corporate Social Responsibility in international business context.

International Corporate Finance

Explore the theory and practice of corporate decisions about the levels of equity and debt and the role and management of trade credit and overdraft facilities.

Financial Performance Management

Provides you with a critical understanding of the sources and uses of finance for organisations operating in a domestic or international context.

Business Research Methods

Provides you with a critical understanding of the sources and uses of finance for organisations operating in a domestic or international context.

Consultancy Project

Gives you the opportunity to apply the knowledge, analytical, and conceptual tools, as well as the personal skills gained from the taught courses to an in-depth study of a specific organizational issue or problem in the fields of global strategic management, strategic investment appraisal, international corporate finance, and financial performance management.

Dissertation

Gives you the opportunity to apply the knowledge, analytical, and conceptual tools, as well as the personal skills gained from the taught courses to an in-depth study of a specific issue or problem in the fields of global strategic management, strategic investment appraisal, international corporate finance, and financial performance management.

Assessment

This is 100% coursework based programme.

Delivery Structure

Upon the successful completion of your MSc Global Financial Management you will have the knowledge, skills and confidence to lead and manage global business operations, to absorb complex information, to make difficult strategic decisions, communicate them effectively, and to lead and manage cross-cultural project teams.

Degree Awarded

Upon successful completion of the programme, you will be awarded a Master of Global Financial Management degree by University of Roehampton, London.

The Degree awarded will be the same as that awarded on-campus.

Admission Criteria

Participants are expected to contribute to the class learning experiences in a cohort and peer learning environment. You will be assessed based on experience, aptitude, potential and managerial skills.

At least 21 years old with a Bachelor's degree in any field or;

Graduate / Postgraduate Diploma from Private Education Institutions or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years work experience, or;

Mature Candidates (at least 30 years old) with a minimum of 8 years work experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Minimum of 6.5 IELTS overall with no less than 5.5 in any band, or equivalent (applicable only for graduates from non-English programmes).
