Programme Structure

The executive MBA programme in Singapore comprises 7 modules on top of either a consultancy project or academic dissertation, structured to accommodate working professionals’ work priorities and commitments.

Syllabus

Leadership & Change Management

Change can be driven by various forces - customers, technology, markets. Nevertheless, research has shown that most change initiatives have failed to accomplish their intended outcomes while possibly even limiting the potential of an organisation along with its people.

In the Leadership & Change Management module, students will gain an understanding of leadership as well as the change in organisations while shedding light on change management issues in today’s fast-paced economy.

Strategic Marketing

The Strategic Marketing module provides students with a critical, comprehensive understanding of how international companies implement marketing strategies to create a competitive advantage and customer value surrounding globalisation, digital revolution, and sophisticated consumers.

Project Management

In the Project Management module, students are introduced to the ‘hard’ science that is essential for project managers, with a strong emphasis on the soft skills needed in change management and its people to assist in the achievement of successful projects.

Sustainable Business Strategy

The Sustainable Business Strategy module allows students to explore the frameworks and concepts utilised in strategic decision making. Additionally, the module equips students with the necessary skills and tools needed to successfully undertake strategic management in organisations operating domestically as well as internationally.

HR Business Partnering

In the HR Business Partnering module, students will acquire knowledge of human resource management (HRM) and human resource development (HRD). Upon building their knowledge and understanding in HRM and HRD, students will be able to apply them within a strategic context.

Financial Performance Management

The Financial Performance Management module seeks to provide students with critical knowledge and understanding of the sources associated with finance and how to use them effectively for organisations operating domestically or internationally.

Business Research Methods

Through Business Research Methods, students will focus on financial management as well as other resources to help optimise organisational performance as a whole.

Consultancy Project

Consultancy Project gives students the opportunity to apply the knowledge, analytical skills, and conceptual tools acquired from the programme to an in-depth study of a specific organisational issue revolving around business management, marketing management, human resource management, financial management in the global context.

Dissertation

The dissertation gives students the opportunity to apply the knowledge, analytical skills, and conceptual tools acquired from the programme to an in-depth study of a specific organisational issue revolving around business management, marketing management, human resource management, financial management in the global context.

Assessment

This is 100% coursework-based programme.

Delivery Structure

After successfully completing the part-time MBA, you will gain the necessary expertise, confidence, and knowledge needed to manage and lead global business operations, absorb complex information, make challenging strategic decisions, communicate said decisions effectively, as well as manage and lead cross-cultural project teams.

Degree Awarded

Upon successfully completing this course, you will be awarded a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree by the University of Roehampton, London, the same as that awarded on-campus.

Admission Criteria

Students will be encouraged and are expected to contribute to the class learning experience in a peer and cohort learning environment. As a student at Aventis, you will be assessed based on your aptitude, potential, experience, and managerial skills.

At least 21 years old with a Bachelor’s degree in any field with a minimum of 3 years work experience, or;

Graduate / Postgraduate Diploma from Private Education Institutions or equivalent with a minimum of 8 years work experience, or;

Mature Candidates (at least 30 years old) with a minimum of 8 years work experience will be considered on a case-by case basis.
