Dipti Jaiswal

Current Status

  • Receiving professional training in Integrative counselling and Psychotherapy with the University of Roehampton London.
  • Sees clients in private practice on a part time basis.
  • Worked with the elderly community of Singapore with older adults and helped them deal with grief and navigate through their day to day issues while alleviating their stress and anxiety.
  • Worked with the migrant workers community in Singapore at a time when Singapore was going through its worst outbreak in the foreign worker dormitories.

Area Of Interest

  • Adults who are depressed, anxious or with emotional issues that disrupt their daily functioning and relationships.
  • Students who are experiencing difficulties coping and managing their life to become more effective, confident and self determined.

Approach

  • Integrative approach to counselling and uses therapeutic modalities like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person Centered Therapy (PCT) and Psychodynamic approach with the aim of experiencing more fulfilling relationships and meeting life goals.
  • Main focus will be on cultivating a strong therapeutic relationship that enables the client to explore difficult issues in a safe and secure manner.

Jess Y Wong

Current Status

  • Perceives therapy to be the art of being present with another, while they heal and search for growth.
  • Receiving studies in Integrative counselling and Psychotherapy with the University of Roehampton London. 
  • Seeing elderly and migrant worker clients on a pro bono basis.
  • Works part time in a non-psychology climate whilst completing her studies and training. 

Area Of Interest

  • Adults who are depressed, anxious or with emotional issues that disrupt their daily functioning, work or relationships.
  • Adults who are simply keen to improve mental health or adjust to challenging life changes are welcomed. 

Approach

  • Uses the person-centered therapy approach as well as free association in developing her client-therapist alliances.
  • Some psychodynamic therapy may be utilised.
  • Offers support with empathic listening in a non-judgemental environment.
  • Believes that when a client is transformed, so is the therapist and that therapy is a learning process for both the client and therapist.

  • Job coach for young adults with special needs at a social enterprise.
  • Specialise in working with individuals with special needs ranging from pre-school to young adults. 
  • Worked at the Deaf Association as a Sign Language Interpreter
  • Worked as an educator in Pathlight school
  • Worked at education support at YWCA. 
  • Trained to volunteer at a helpline centre from 2008 to 2011. With the help of APACS, she was given the opportunity to become a befriender for seniors.
