Understanding Self And Our Impact On Others

This module emphasizes that people are at the centre of every organisation, and that includes the role of the individual learner. It explores two key themes: first, developing deeper selfawareness by reflecting on personal experiences, values, and influences that have shaped one’s current professional identity; and second, understanding how this awareness translates into a distinct approach to leadership—both in leading others and in being effectively led.

These themes are explored within the broader organisational context, examining how structures, cultures, and behaviours support the achievement of a sustainable vision. Participants will be encouraged to connect personal insights with organisational practices, recognising how individual leadership styles and ways of working can influence collective performance. The module ultimately seeks to bridge personal development with organisational effectiveness, equipping participants to contribute meaningfully to both their own growth and the success of their organisations.

Leadership For Healthcare And Social Care

Strong leadership is crucial in today’s complex healthcare and social care environments, where evolving care models, increasing patient expectations, and resource constraints demand both resilience and innovative thinking. This module introduces contemporary leadership theories while equipping learners with practical strategies to lead diverse teams effectively and create meaningful impact.

The module places particular emphasis on fostering collaboration, managing organisational change, and driving innovation to enhance performance and service delivery. Participants will critically explore how leadership practices influence healthcare outcomes across different settings and how strategic decision-making can shape organisational effectiveness.

Through a combination of case studies, interactive discussions, and real-world scenarios, learners will develop key leadership competencies, including empathy, adaptability, ethical integrity, and strategic vision. By linking theory with practice, the module prepares participants to navigate challenges confidently, inspire teams, and make informed, sustainable decisions in dynamic healthcare and social care contexts.

Accountancy And Finance

This module provides participants with a strong foundation in the principles of financial accounting, management accounting, and investment appraisal. It introduces the key concepts that underpin financial decision-making, showing how financial information is prepared, interpreted, and applied in practice.

Designed for those with little or no prior experience, the module aims to demystify accounting and finance, giving participants the confidence to read financial statements, understand financial terminology, and engage in meaningful discussions with peers and external stakeholders.

In addition, students will explore how management accounting supports planning, control, and resource allocation, and how investment appraisal techniques are applied to evaluate projects and business strategies.

Transforming Healthcare: AI and Innovation

The healthcare sector is experiencing rapid transformation, driven by technological advances, evolving patient expectations, and increasing service demands. This module explores how innovation and effective change management can enhance productivity, improve patient outcomes, and reduce costs, enabling organisations to respond proactively to these challenges.

Learners will examine key theories, models, and processes that underpin innovation in healthcare, including the adoption of disruptive technologies such as AI, big data analytics, and telemedicine. Through real-world examples of product and service innovations, participants will gain insight into how organisations successfully implement change while addressing common challenges, including cultural resistance, resource constraints, and system-wide adaptation.

The module also emphasises the importance of user experience, personalisation, and fostering a culture that embraces innovation and continuous improvement. By linking theory with practice, learners will develop the knowledge and skills to drive meaningful, sustainable improvements in healthcare delivery, ensuring that both patients and organisations benefit from effective, forward-looking strategies.

Operations And Information Systems

This module develops students’ understanding of the core principles of Operations Management and highlights the growing role of Information Systems in supporting and optimising business processes. A key focus is placed on sustainable operations, with particular attention to the concepts of the circular economy and responsible resource management. Students will consider how sustainability can be embedded into operational strategies to balance organisational performance with long-term environmental and social responsibility.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of pursuing a part-time Executive MBA?

One of the biggest benefits of pursuing a part-time Executive MBA is having the flexibility to continue working. Most students at Aventis are working professionals, and our part-time Executive MBA in Singapore allow them to progress in their careers without sacrificing their studies. Students can also study at their own pace and build a professional network simultaneously.

Does a Part-time Executive MBA help in career and salary ?

Earning an Executive MBA (EMBA) can significantly boost your earning potential. According to the 2024 Executive MBA Council (EMBAC) survey, EMBA graduates saw a 19.9% increase in total compensation, rising from $203,248 to $243,770 on average. In comparison, the 2024 GMAC survey reports a median starting salary of $120,000 for traditional MBA graduates. While both degrees offer substantial salary growth, the EMBA generally delivers higher starting compensation and greater increases, reflecting its focus on experienced professionals aiming for senior leadership.

Why should I pursue a part-time Executive MBA in Singapore with Aventis-Chichester?

Pursuing a part-time Executive MBA with University of Chichester is more than an academic journey—it’s a career accelerator. Ranked Top 30 UK Universities by Guardian University Guide 2026 and globally recognised, University of Chichester’s Executive MBA equips you with advanced business expertise, practical skills, and a powerful network of peers and industry leaders, preparing you to take on senior leadership roles and succeed in the global business arena.

In what ways are Executive MBAs different from standard Master's programs?

An MBA and an Executive MBA (EMBA) both build business and leadership skills but serve professionals at different stages. An MBA suits early to mid-career individuals seeking management roles or career shifts. In contrast, the EMBA is designed for experienced managers and executives, focusing on advanced leadership and strategy that can be applied immediately. It allows students to study while working. More importantly, it provides access to senior-level networks and industry leaders, creating opportunities beyond the classroom. While both are valuable, the EMBA stands out for its flexibility, executive peer learning, and ability to accelerate careers into top management, board, or entrepreneurial roles without pausing one’s career.

Which is the best Executive MBA program in Singapore?

There is no single “best” Executive MBA program, as the ideal choice depends on your career goals, experience, and preferred learning format. Each program offers unique strengths and benefits. While Singapore offer some reputable Executive MBA programs, including those from the National University of Singapore and Singapore Management University, there are relatively few Executive MBA options in the market, making the EMBA from University of Chichester a rare and valuable opportunity for senior professionals seeking advanced business education.

What are the factors to consider when applying for a Executive MBA?

When choosing the right Executive MBA program, it’s important to consider several factors. Look for programs offered by universities with strong reputations, global recognition, experienced faculty, and solid industry connections. Ensure the curriculum and assessment methods align with your career goals, whether fully coursework-based or including examinations. Programs that provide international business exposure, diverse industry connections, and networking opportunities are particularly valuable for busy professionals. EMBA programs are a significant investment, so evaluate tuition fees, and available financial support, including scholarships and grants. Thorough research, including attending information sessions will help you make an informed decision on the Executive MBA program that best fits your goals.
