Upon enrolment in this programme, you’ll be eligible to join the Association of Educational Therapists (Singapore) as a student member — opening doors to a professional network, resources, and continuous learning opportunities.

These professionals use behaviour-based therapy treat mental health disorders, behavioural disorders, and mood disorders.

These professionals assess children for developmental delays or disabilities. They then provide support to the child and their family.

These professionals are specialised to teach children with physical, mental, emotional, and learning disabilities.

These professionals are trained to understand children's learning difficulties and develop strategies to manage them.

In this Graduate Diploma course, students will have the opportunity to focus on the spectrum of disabilities that special education students face while helping them interact with their peers without special needs.

Developmental Psychology

Developmental psychology is the scientific study of how and why humans grow, change, and adapt across the course of their lives from infants, children, to adolescence and adult development.

Child Psychology & Intervention Strategy

Gain an understanding of the discipline of child psychology as a general area of study. Additionally, it covers the discipline of child psychology along with various key questions that steer the understanding of childhood.

Teaching and Supporting Children with Special Needs

Learn to identify common developmental disabilities. Additionally, it covers assessment tools and implementation strategy of early intervention, as well as integration support programmes.

Cognitive Psychology

Gain an insight into how human cognition works from attention, sensation, perception, action, language processes, problem-solving and thinking to learning and memory.

Practical learning pedagogy paired with highly experienced industry practitioners

Dr. Lim Kok Kwang is a Fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS), with extensive expertise in psychology and psychotherapy. He is a Senior Practitioner in the Register of Psychologists Specialising in Psychotherapy (BPS) and a Fellow of the Society for the Exploration of Psychotherapy Integration. Recognized for his significant contributions to the field, Dr. Lim has received multiple prestigious awards, including the Award for Outstanding Contribution to Psychology in Singapore (SPS), the Distinguished Contribution to Practice Award (BPS), and the Distinguished Psychologist Award from the American Psychological Association (APA).

Dr. Celestine Tan is an Educational Therapist with Kaleidoscope Therapy Centre, and Being Counseling and Wellness Centre, as well as a member of American Psychological Association and British Dyslexia Association. She has 23 years of teaching experience with students who are intellectually disabled or with special needs. 

Ms. Jeslyn Lim is the Founder and Managing Director of Mind Culture. She is the Co-Founder and Managing Director of Thrive Psychology Clinic Pte Ltd

Mr Anil is the Academic Lead at the Singapore University of Social Sciences. He is also the former Assistant Manager (Community Outreach & Engagement) at the National Addictions Management Service (NAMS), Institute of Mental Health (IMH).

Upon completion of the programme, students will be eligible to apply to the Master of Arts in Inclusive Special Education offered by University of Chichester (UK), which can be completed within 10 months.

After successful completion of the programme, students will be awarded the Graduate Diploma in Special Needs and Inclusive Education
