STUDENT PASS APPLICATION

International Students

Besides meeting the entry requirements for the course, all foreign students are required to apply for a Student Pass from the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) of Singapore. The Immigration and Checkpoint (ICA) of Singapore requires all foreign students to hold a valid Student Pass for their full-time study in Singapore. In order to protect the interest of foreign students, regulatory body Case requires all program fees be remitted or paid into an approved escrow bank account in Singapore or be covered by a student protection insurance scheme (premium payable by students).

We provide a comprehensive range of services for prospective international students to ensure that they enjoy their education experience with us. We are available to guide and support prospective students throughout their application processes from the initiate stage of application for admission right through to student pass application which includes:

  • Assist in the initial application process for course approval
  • Assist in application/renewal of Student's Pass
  • Medical checkups and insurance
  • Additional welfare services (e.g. accommodation, visits to relevant industries and others)

STUDENT PASS APPLICATION PROCEDURE

STEP 1: Form Completion

Complete the following forms

  • Duly completed Aventis application form
  • One Original set of ICA form 16 and New V36 (Complete in English and duly signed by applicant)

STEP 2: Submit application fee

Submit an application and enrolment fee of S$500 (non-transferable and non-refundable)

Payment can be made via cash, cheque or telegraphic transfer. Cheque to be made payable to "Aventis School of Management Pte Ltd" and furnish us with the application forms with a copy of your highest certificate and transcripts. If the originals are not in English, translated copies will be required.

STEP 3: Letter of Offer

Upon approval of your application, you will receive a Letter of Offer from Aventis School of Management.

STEP 4: Preparation and submission of supporting documents

Thereafter, you will need to prepare the following documents for application of student pass to Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA):

  • Five (5) passport-sized photographs of the applicant
  • 1 photocopy of applicant's original passport ( Please photocopy the page showing applicant's personal particulars and the expiry date of the passport)
  • 1 photocopy of original birth certificate
  • Notarised copies of your highest educational certificates and transcripts
  • Bank statement/fixed deposit account/saving account.
  • Proof of English Proficiency; either IELTS/TOEFL score sheet
  • Letter of employers certifying period of employment (If applicant has left school for work after completion of last qualification)
  • Documentary proof of financial ability and parent's monthly income statement (for visa-required countries) (i.e. PRC; India; Myanmar and etc)

* Bank statement / Fixed Deposit accounts/ saving accounts indicating deposit of USD $18,000 equivalent or more

Note: All documents may either be original documents or certified true copies of the original documents. If documents are not in English, official translated copies must be included.

Note: Please make sure that your application forms and documents reach us at least 2 months before course commencement

STEP 5: Submission of application to ICA

Upon receipt of the documents, Aventis School of Management will proceed to put up the application with Immigration Checkpoints Authority of Singapore (ICA).

Processing time of completed application will take approximately 3-4 weeks. However, some applications may take a longer time to process. The school will be notified directly of the outcome by ICA directly via the SOLAR+ system.

STEP 6: Approval of student pass and fee payment

Once the student pass is approved by ICA, you will receive a confirmation letter from the School. With the confirmation letter, you are required to make the first instalment of course fees to us as invoiced, subjected to 7% GST. Two copies of CASE-Approved Student Contract will also be passed to you for signing and consent. You are required to sign on both copies of the contract and return both copies to our International Admissions Office. Once the School signs the contract, one copy will be returned to you.

No local sponsor is required for applications submitted from 15 December 2008 onwards.
