WHAT IS INDUSTRIAL & ORGANIZATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY
Industrial-organizational (I-O) psychology is the scientific study of the workplace. Rigor and methods of psychology are applied to issues of critical relevance to business, including talent management, coaching, assessment, selection, training, organizational development, performance, and work-life balance.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Increasingly, people factors are recognized as a major determinant of organizational performance and a key competitive
differential. I/O psychologists focus on enhancing organizational development and culture, improving productivity while
ensuring physically and psychologically well being of the workers.
The executive Master of Science in Psychology (Industrial & Organizational) focuses on the scientific study of individual and
group behaviour in institutional settings, applications to related problems of organization and industry, and prepare
individuals to apply such principles in industrial and organizational settings which include personnel psychology, motivation,
leadership, employee selection, training and development, organization development and guided change, organizational
behavior, and work and family issues.
INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION

The program is closely aligned with industry practice and is recognized internationally by international Professional bodies including Academy of Management and Society for Human Resource Management, the world's largest professional association devoted to human resource management represents more than 225,000 individual members in over 125 countries
Graduates of EMSc IOP & HR program will be eligible to apply as "International Affiliate" members into Society of Industrial and Organizational Psychology, (SIOP) Division 14 of the American Psychological Association

I/O psychologists often work in an HR department, though other I/O psychologists pursue careers as independent consultants or applied academic researchers. I/O psychology is one of the many domains that should be assessed when conducting psychological research when answering applied questions.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE
The program comprises of 10 courses which can be completed within 12 months on an executive delivery model. The program curriculum is closely align to the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology's (SIOP), Division 14 of the American Psychological Association (APA) areas of competence to be developed in master's level I-O psychology programs. ADVANCED COURSES
Six advanced courses will be selected by the Department of Psychology. The University reserved the rights to changes in these Advanced Courses
PROGRAM DELIVERY
Each course will be supported with 36 contact hours of face to face lectures by internationally renowned professors flown in from New York. The classes for each course are usually conducted in this manner over a 9-days period
