In today’s knowledge based economy, it is imperative that companies must learn to leverage on technology for business survival and supremacy. Information and Technology underpins every aspect of the business value chain, from product development to sales, operations and logistics. Integration of technology into business process serves as a critical role to business success as company needs to rapidly adapt to market changes and evolving customer needs.

The success of many organisations lies in their information systems, which requires effective management of processing and dissemination of information. According to the latest statistics from the U.S. Department of Labor, employment of computer and information systems managers is expected to grow faster than the average for all occupations through the year 2016. Managers who possess advanced technical knowledge and business computing skills will be in great demand and can command a respectable premium in the talent market

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The program aims to equip managers with the knowledge to successfully integrate technical knowhow, business processes and align it with the overall corporate direction to address real world business opportunities and challenges. Under the guidance of top New York faculty, students will be able to effectively apply the principles of systems analysis and design, to analyze and evaluate information technologies, and to effectively develop and manage project, risk, and information systems strategic plans.

INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION

MGT9730 Project Management: Strategic Design and Implementation curriculum is align with Project Management Professional (PMP) certification offered by the Project Management Institute.

The program comprises of 10 courses which can be completed within 12 months on an executive delivery model.

PROGRAM DELIVERY

Each course will be supported with 38 contact hours of face to face lectures by internationally renowned professors flown in from New York. The classes for each course are usually conducted in this manner over a 9-day period

• Chief Technology Officer (CTOs): The chief technology officer is responsible for the managing and planning of technical standards, and tends to the daily information technology issues of the firm.
• Chief Information Officer (CIOs): The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is accountable for directing the information and data integrity of the enterprise and its groups and for all Information Technology functions of the enterprise. CIO interacts with the executive management team to monitor and validate the enterprises compliance with its security policies.
• Director of Management information systems (MIS): (MIS) directors or information technology (IT) directors manage computing resources for their organizations. They often work under the chief information officer and plan and direct the work of subordinate information technology employees.
• Project Managers: Project managers develop requirements, budgets, and schedules for the firm’s IT projects. They coordinate such projects from development through implementation, working with internal and external clients, vendors, consultants, and computer specialists.
• CIS Managers: Computer and information systems managers plan, coordinate, and direct research and facilitate the computer-related activities of firms. They help determine both technical and business goals in consultation with top management and make detailed plans for the accomplishment of these goals.

ADMISSION CRITIERA

Recent intake into the EMSF program includes participants from over 5 countries across ASEAN region, reflecting significant growth of the program across ASEAN. There are 2 admission period into the program annually: March and September. Please contact the program consultant for more information.

• A recognized undergraduate degree with minimum 3 years of work experience OR.
• A good diploma from a recognized institution plus minimum of 5 years management experience
• Mature candidates who have demonstrated exceptional professional or business achievements but who do not meet the above requirements may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Terms and Conditions : All notice of withdrawal must be in writing. A full refund of the course fees paid will be made if notice of withdrawal is received more than 60 days before course commencement. If notice of withdrawal is received between 60 to 30 days before course commencement, 75% of course fees paid will be refunded. No refund will be made after the course has commenced. Course Fee paid will not be refunded in the event of deferment regardless of whether the request made is prior to commencement or after the commencement of the course.
