Social Media Expert - Professor Linda Gharib
Linda Gharib is an Adjunct Professor of Internet Marketing & Global Business at the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College in New York City. Linda is a seasoned marketer employed at Citigroup as a Senior Vice President in Citi's consumer marketing division concentrating on digital marketing insights and integration. Prior to joining Citi, Linda worked at Microsoft Corporation where she partnered with advertising agencies and Fortune 100 brands including Bank of America, Delta Air Lines, Kraft Foods, Wells Fargo, Macy's, Verizon, and Procter & Gamble. Linda worked closely with her clients to develop cross-channel digital advertising campaigns on the Microsoft network of online properties including Bing, MSN and Xbox.
Prior to joining Microsoft, Linda was a Marketing and Investor Relations Manager at a leading law firm specializing in securities and antitrust litigation. Linda developed integrated marketing strategies targeting clients that were the victims of corporate wrongdoing.
Linda is passionate about mentoring the next generation of marketers. She advised the winning Baruch team in the 2011 Collegiate ECHO Challenge and was instrumental in envisioning and launching the Microsoft Advertising Digital Challenge, an international digital advertising case competition. Linda serves as the co-chair of the 212 Interactive Advertising Club professional development committee and partners regularly with the American Marketing Association and the Direct Marketing Association. She is also a frequent guest presenter at universities and industry conferences.
Linda holds an MBA in Marketing from Baruch College and studied International Marketing at the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Zurich, Switzerland. Linda earned her BA in English and Media Studies from Hunter College and studied Italian Renaissance Art and Literature in Florence, Italy.
