Baruch Cocktail Reception held at the Garden Ballroom of Le Meridien Hotel, Singapore on the 11th October 2007 brought together the Past, Present and Future Baruch students for a get together session, a first of its kind and a first to many more to come in the future. The evening commenced with the bustling arrival of our invited guests. The potential future students of Baruch programmes were greeted with a brief welcome introduction of the Executive Master Programmes available at Baruch College, Asean Campus. For the potential future students of the Executive programmes they found the session informative and were actively participating in the Q & A session with Professor Avner Wolf, Executive Director of the International Programmes of Baruch College, and Mr Kevin Ho, Chairman of Baruch Alumni in Singapore. When all the questions were addressed, the Q & A session concluded and let the Cocktail Reception begin.
Career advisory was also on site for our Baruch students, we have invited consulting managers from JCGSearch International, Asia's Leading Executive Search Company, to grace our events. Baruch's graduates, current students and students who will be embarking on the course were introduced to the consulting managers and were given the chance to network and find out more about the career opportunities available in the market. Namecards were exchanged, networks have been built. Staying true to our motto of connecting our graduates to career opportunities and business networking
Now as the serious part of the evening is over, Baruch graduates and current students joined everybody for the Cocktail reception. Everyone was glad they had the chance to meet their ex-classmates and had to chance to re-establish networks again. Potential students were also given a chance to speak to graduates who gladly shared their happy Baruch experiences with them. Students embarking on the course were also glad they had a chance to meet their future classmates.
Mr. Wan Howe Kian (student for the November 2007 intake) commented "Great event! I got to meet and know my course mates. I can't wait for the course to start."
A session of wine and cheese combined with the meeting of minds. The evening ended with smiles of everyone's faces. Baruch College would like to thank our invited guests for taking the time to grace our event and we are sure that all of you agree it was an evening well spent.
