GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN HUMAN CAPITIAL DEVELOPMENT - AT A GLANCE

OVERVIEW

The graduate diploma in human capital development is designed for HR professionals who are seeking to focus on the area of strategic human resource development and talent management. By incorporating advanced HR concepts and practical know- how, the program aims to equip you with the skills needed to analyze strategic human resource environment in your organization, select appropriate strategic human resources options, and implement these changes.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

This highly specialized program aims to provide graduates with a good understanding of the key principles in strategic HR management with an emphasis on human capital development. The aim is to provide candidates with a sound understanding of key HR concepts that are essential in managerial decision-making.

PARTICIPANTS

The program is beneficial to both HR professionals and business managers from non-HR backgrounds that are responsible for intra-department and project management. This program is also suitable for personnel working in a diverse range of occupations, including in the health and services industry and in educational and human service sectors, as it serves as a launch pad for non-HR professionals to switch into HR careers.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

This is a 6 months part-time program comprising of 4 modules. This program are tailored for working professionals and classes are conducted on weekdays evening from 7.00pm to 10.00pm or over weekends. Each module is supported with 24 contact hours of face to face lectures which are conducted by our experienced faculty.

  • Human Capital Development and Leadership
  • Organizational Behaviour – Human Decision Processes
  • Psychology of Staffing & Selection
  • Strategic Human Resource Management

AWARDS & RECOGNITIONS

The Graduate Diploma in Human Capital Development is awarded by Aventis School of Management. Graduates will be allowed to use the designatory letters “Grad Dip Human Capital Development” after their name upon completion of the program.

You are also eligible to apply for professional certification and designation of a “Registered HR Specialist” awarded by the Centre for Behavioral Science, the leading professional body for Psychology and Organizational Development. Registration fees for CBS Professional membership and RHRS certification of S$1,000 payable to “Centre for Behavioral Science Pte Ltd” apply.

ARTICULATION PATHWAY

This is an internationally recognized program, upon successful completion of the program, applicants will be granted advanced standing and exemptions into the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

All applicants must possess:

  • A degree or similar professional qualifications from a recognized university/institution, OR
  • A diploma from a polytechnic with at least 3 years of working experience.
  • Senior executives with extensive experience but without academic qualification may be considered on a case to case basis.

  • Application processing fee of S$107 (non-refundable)

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

  • Participants may enrol and attend any of the modules for the acquisition of knowledge in a particular discipline. An executive certificate will be awarded for students that have fulfilled at least 80% attendance for that enrolled module.
  • For participants that have enrolled and attended any of the modules for the acquisition of knowledge in a particular discipline, they will be issued with an executive certificate if they fulfil at least 80% attendance.

TERMS & CONDITIONS: All notice of withdrawal must be in writing. A full refund of the course fees paid will be made if notice of withdrawal is received more than 60 days before course commencement. If notice of withdrawal is received between 60 to 30 days before course commencement, 75% of course fees paid will be refunded. No refund will be made after the commencement of the course.
