PROGRAM OVERVIEW

TThe Baruch Executive Master of Science in Finance is uniquely designed to help both financial and non-financial professionals master cutting-edge financial analytical tools and strengthen their judgement on the use of these tools. The program prepares candidates who are interested in a career or have just entered the financial services industry with essential skills and knowledge required to excel in the highly complex and dynamic financial sector.

This program meets CFA exam requirements and is recognised by the CFA institute for curriculum integration with the CFA programme

Course Fees: S$49,600.00 + a one-time application fee of S$500.00 (subject to 7% GST)

Classes are conducted daily from Monday to Fridays from 9.00am to 12.00pm or 2.00pm to 5.00pm.

DUAL AWARDS

The Executive Master of Science degree is directly awarded by Baruch College, The City University of New York. In addition, a certificate in your field of study will also be issued by the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College. These awards are exactly the same as the ones U.S students received upon graduating from this program. Successful graduates will be allowed to use the designatory letters “EMSc Finance” after their name upon completion of the programme.

The Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration is awarded by Aventis School of Management. Successful graduates will be allowed to use the designatory letters “PGDip BA” after their name upon completion of the programme.

GLOBAL RECOGNITION

Baruch EMSc Finance graduates will be eligible to use the award of "Master Financial Professional" by the American Academy of Financial Management (AAFM), a worldwide financial professional organisation with members in 140 countries hosting and organising certification training worldwide and offering exclusive designation to candidates who meet the highest standards.

FEE SCHEDULE

The total investment for this dual award program is S$49,600.00. The total tuition fee covers face-to-face lectures, course materials, seminars, assignments, examinations, degree on completion and transcript. However, it does not include textbooks and other miscellaneous charges as imposed by Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) for international students.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

An ideal candidate should possess:

• A recognised undergraduate degree or its equivalent plus 3 years of working experience OR
• A good diploma from a recognised institution plus management experience OR business ownership experience OR senior professional experience.
• Mature candidates who have demonstrated exceptional professional or business achievements but who do not meet the above requirements may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

For international applicants for whom English is a second language, the minimum English language requirements are those which are outlined as follows:

• International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test-a minimum score of 6.0 in Reading and Writing sub scores and a minimum overall score of 6.5
• Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - a minimum score of 55 (21 in the computer based test) in Reading and Structure / Writing sub scores and a minimum overall score of 575 (232 in the computer based test)
