PROGRAM OVERVIEW

The Baruch Executive Master of Science in Industrial & Organisational (I/O) Psychology focuses on the scientific study of individual and group behaviour in institutional settings, applications to related problems of organization and industry, and prepares individuals to apply such principles in industrial and organisational settings. This includes instruction in group behaviour theory, organisational theory, reward/ punishment structures, human-computer interactions, motivation dynamics, human stress studies, environmental and organizational influences on behaviour, alienation and satisfaction, and job testing and assessment.

Classes are conducted daily from Monday to Fridays from 9.00am to 12.00pm or 2.00pm to 5.00pm.

DUAL AWARDS

The Executive Master of Science degree is directly awarded by Baruch College, The City University of New York. In addition, a certificate in your field of study will also be issued by the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College. These awards are exactly the same as the ones U.S students received upon graduating from this program. Successful graduates will be allowed to use the designatory letters "MSc I/O Psychology" after their name upon completion of the programme.




The Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration is awarded by Aventis School of Management. Successful graduates will be allowed to use the designatory letters "PG Dip BA" after their name upon completion of the programme.




FEE SCHEDULE

The total investment for this dual award program is S$44,600.00. The total tuition fee covers face-to-face lectures, course materials, seminars, assignments, examinations, degree on completion and transcript. However, it does not include textbooks and other miscellaneous charges as imposed by Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) for international students.

ADMISSION CRITERIA

An ideal candidate should possess:

  • A recognised undergraduate degree or its equivalent plus 3 years of working experience OR
  • A good diploma from a recognised institution plus management experience OR business ownership experience OR senior professional experience.
  • Mature candidates who have demonstrated exceptional professional or business achievements but who do not meet the above requirements may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

For international applicants for whom English is a second language, the minimum English language requirements are those which are outlined as follows:

  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test-a minimum score of 6.0 in Reading and Writing sub scores and a minimum overall score of 6.5
  • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) - a minimum score of 55 (21 in the computer based test) in Reading and Structure / Writing sub scores and a minimum overall score of 575 (232 in the computer based test)
